We built the Goodfellow & Co Men’s 7″ Gameday Shorts for guys who need athletic performance without looking like they’re headed to the gym. The 7-inch inseam hits right above the knee for freedom of movement whether you’re running errands, playing pickup basketball, or just hanging out on the weekend.
Our four-way stretch fabric moves with you while the mesh side pockets keep your phone and keys secure without adding bulk. The elastic waistband with internal drawcord gives you a custom fit that stays put through whatever your day brings.

We chose a polyester-spandex blend for the Gameday shorts because it delivers the stretch and breathability most guys need for all-day wear. The fabric weight hits the sweet spot between lightweight summer shorts and the heavier canvas you’d find on casual flat-front styles — substantial enough to hold its shape but never stiff or restrictive.
Four-way stretch means the fabric moves in every direction, not just side-to-side. That construction makes a real difference when you’re bending, squatting, or sitting for long periods. The moisture-wicking finish pulls sweat away from your skin so the shorts dry fast even on humid days.
Sizing & fit guide
The 7-inch inseam is our most popular length for the Gameday shorts — it hits just above the knee on most guys between 5’8″ and 6’2″. If you’re taller or prefer more coverage, we also offer a 9-inch inseam in the same fabric and pocket configuration.
We recommend ordering your usual waist size. The elastic waistband with drawcord gives you about an inch of adjustability on either side of your true waist measurement. The relaxed fit through the hips and thighs provides room to move without looking baggy. If you’re between sizes or prefer a slimmer look, size down one.

The mesh-lined side pockets are deep enough to hold a standard smartphone without it sliding out when you sit down. We added a secure zippered pocket on the right rear for your wallet or keys — the zipper pull sits flat so it won’t dig into you when you’re sitting.
Unlike traditional woven shorts with welted pockets, the Gameday design uses a streamlined entry that reduces bulk. The mesh lining allows airflow while keeping pocket contents from shifting around during movement.

The two front side pockets are open entry with mesh lining for breathability. The right rear pocket features a secure zipper closure to keep your wallet, keys, or other valuables safe during activity. The zipper pull sits flat against the pocket so it doesn’t dig in when you sit down.
Machine wash in cold water with similar colors, turning the shorts inside out to protect the exterior finish. Tumble dry on low heat — avoid high heat as it can break down the spandex fibers over time. Skip fabric softener and dryer sheets since they coat the moisture-wicking fibers and reduce breathability. The shorts typically dry in 30-40 minutes on low heat.
