Men's Relaxed Fit Stretch Jeans | Goodfellow & Co
Our men's relaxed fit stretch jeans deliver the comfortable, not-too-loose silhouette you've been looking for. We built these with a hint of stretch woven into a durable cotton blend, so they move with you whether you're sitting through meetings or running weekend errands.
The relaxed fit sits at your natural waist and offers a straight leg with room through the hip and thigh. We chose this cut because it's the most versatile jean in our lineup — dress it up with a button-down or keep it casual with a tee. Five-pocket styling, classic rivets, and a zip fly round out the details you expect from a pair of quality denim.
Every pair is stone-washed to a soft, broken-in feel right out of the package. No stiff, uncomfortable break-in period. Just pull them on and go.
Fit & fabric at a glance

Fabric & construction details
We source a cotton-dominant denim twill with 2% spandex woven in at the mill. That small percentage of stretch fiber makes a big difference — you get the structure and durability of traditional denim without sacrificing mobility. The fabric rebounds after every wear, so knees and seat don’t bag out by midday.
Every seam is double-stitched with heavy-duty thread, and we reinforce high-stress zones like pocket corners and the crotch gusset with bar tacks. Copper rivets anchor the pockets at strain points. We finish each pair with a stone wash to soften the hand and lighten the indigo slightly, creating a lived-in look that only gets better as you wear them.

Sizing & fit guide
Goodfellow & Co men’s relaxed fit stretch jeans run true to size. We recommend ordering your usual waist and inseam measurements. If you’re between sizes or prefer a slightly looser fit, size up one waist increment.
The relaxed fit means more room through the hip and thigh compared to our straight or slim styles. You’ll find about 1–1.5 inches of extra fabric at the thigh circumference versus a classic straight fit. The leg opens to a 16-inch hem on a size 32×32, providing a clean break over sneakers or boots without excess bunching.
Care & maintenance
Machine wash cold with like colors, inside out to preserve the indigo dye. We skip optical brighteners and harsh detergents that can weaken the stretch fibers over time. A standard liquid or powder detergent works perfectly.
Tumble dry on low or hang to air dry. High heat can degrade the spandex, causing the jeans to lose their recovery. If you prefer a crisper finish, pull them from the dryer while slightly damp and hang to finish air drying.

Questions about these relaxed fit jeans
These jeans contain 2% spandex blended with 98% cotton. That gives you just enough flex for mobility and comfort without feeling like stretchy jeggings. The fabric recovers its shape after wear, so you won't get saggy knees or a baggy seat by the end of the day.
The stretch is most noticeable when you bend, sit, or move quickly. It's subtle but makes a real difference compared to rigid 100% cotton denim.
Relaxed fit jeans offer more room through the hip, thigh, and seat compared to straight fit. The leg opening is similar on both, but relaxed fit gives you an extra inch or so of fabric circumference at the thigh.
Straight fit sits closer to the body and has a more tailored look. Relaxed fit is looser and more comfortable for all-day wear, especially if you have a muscular build or prefer a less fitted silhouette. Both fits have a straight leg from knee to hem with no taper.
You may see minor shrinkage — about half an inch in length — after the first wash if you tumble dry on high heat. We recommend washing cold and drying on low to minimize this.
The waist and thigh measurements stay consistent because the stretch fiber helps the fabric retain its shape. If you're between sizes, ordering your true size and following the care instructions will give you the best fit long-term.
Yes, these jeans run true to size in both waist and inseam. Most customers order their usual measurements and find the fit accurate. The relaxed cut means you'll have more room than a slim or straight fit, but the waist measurement itself is standard.
If you prefer a looser fit or plan to wear a belt, sizing up one waist increment works well. The stretch fabric accommodates slight variations in sizing without feeling tight.
Absolutely. The medium wash and dark indigo colorways both work for business casual environments. Pair them with a button-down shirt, leather belt, and dress shoes or loafers for a polished look.
The relaxed fit reads as classic and professional rather than sloppy. Just avoid heavily distressed washes or overly casual styling if your office leans formal. These jeans sit right at the line between smart-casual and everyday wear.
Turn your jeans inside out before washing to protect the outer face from abrasion. Wash in cold water with a gentle detergent, and skip the chlorine bleach. Air drying or tumble drying on low also slows fading compared to high heat.
Indigo denim naturally lightens over time — it's part of the character. If you want to preserve the original color as long as possible, wash every 4–6 wears instead of after every use. Spot-clean small stains with a damp cloth between washes.
The straight leg opening pairs well with almost any shoe style. Sneakers, chukka boots, work boots, and casual loafers all look natural. Because the hem is slightly wider than a tapered slim fit, you can wear chunkier footwear without the jeans bunching awkwardly.
For a cleaner look, cuff the hem once or hem to your exact inseam length. The medium wash colorway is especially versatile — it transitions easily from white sneakers to brown leather boots depending on the occasion.
