Men's Straight Fit Stretch Jeans – Goodfellow & Co
Our straight fit stretch jeans deliver the classic silhouette you want with the flex you need. Built from premium stretch denim, these jeans move with you through every part of your day without losing their shape.
We designed this fit to sit comfortably at the waist with a straight leg from hip to hem—no baggy knees, no taper. The stretch fiber woven into the denim gives you full range of motion whether you're driving, lifting, or just sitting at your desk. This isn't stiff, rigid denim that takes weeks to break in. These feel great the moment you put them on and only get better with wear.
Fabric & fit details

Denim construction and stretch technology
We source ring-spun cotton denim woven with just enough elastane to give these jeans their signature stretch. The 98/2 blend means you get the weight and durability of traditional denim with flex built in—not the kind that bags out after an hour of wear.
Our mill pre-washes the fabric to lock in the color and minimize shrinkage before we even cut the first pattern. The indigo dye penetrates deep into the yarn, so the wash stays true even after dozens of cycles. This fabric weighs in at 12 ounces per square yard, which puts it right in the sweet spot: substantial enough to hold its shape, light enough to wear year-round.

Fit and sizing guide
Straight leg silhouette
Our straight fit runs true to size with a mid-rise waist that sits just below your natural waistline. The leg maintains a consistent width from thigh to ankle—16 inches at the hem across all sizes—so it looks clean whether you wear sneakers, boots, or dress shoes.
This cut is designed for guys who want a modern look without going slim or skinny. There’s room in the seat and thigh without extra fabric pooling around your knees. If you normally wear a 32×32 in other brands, order the same size here.
Care and maintenance
Machine wash these jeans inside-out in cold water with like colors. Cold water preserves the indigo dye and prevents the stretch fiber from degrading over time. Skip the fabric softener—it coats the fibers and reduces elasticity.
Tumble dry on low heat or hang to air dry. High heat can shrink cotton denim and weaken elastic fibers, so keep the dryer setting gentle. If you notice any wrinkles after drying, a quick steam or warm iron on the reverse side smooths them out.

Common questions about our straight fit stretch jeans
The 2% elastane gives you flex for bending, sitting, and moving without creating a baggy look. The denim rebounds to its original shape after wear, so you won't see sagging at the knees or seat by the end of the day.
This level of stretch is designed for comfort, not compression. If you're looking for maximum flex, consider our athletic fit, which has slightly more elastane in the blend.
Our denim is pre-washed during manufacturing to lock in the dimensions and minimize shrinkage. You may see up to half an inch of length reduction after the first wash if you tumble dry on high heat, but cold wash and low-heat drying keeps them true to size.
We recommend ordering your normal size and inseam. If you're between sizes, go with the larger waist—stretch denim conforms to your body over the first few wears.
Our straight fit maintains a consistent 16-inch leg opening from hip to hem with room in the seat and thigh. The slim fit tapers from knee to ankle, ending at a narrower 14.5-inch opening, and sits closer to the body throughout.
If you prefer a classic, relaxed look that works with any footwear, the straight fit is the right choice. If you want a modern tapered silhouette, try the slim fit.
The 12-ounce denim weight is versatile enough for three seasons. It's heavier than lightweight summer chinos but lighter than rigid winter denim, so most guys wear these comfortably from spring through fall.
The stretch fabric also improves breathability compared to 100% cotton denim. If you run hot or live in a very warm climate, consider rolling the cuffs or pairing them with moisture-wicking tops.
Yes, the clean medium indigo wash and minimal branding make these appropriate for business-casual offices. Pair them with a collared shirt and leather shoes, and they'll meet most dress codes that allow jeans.
For more formal settings, our dark wash straight fit offers a dressier alternative with the same comfortable fit and stretch.
Measure an existing pair of jeans that fit you well from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg. That measurement is your inseam. Our 30-inch inseam works for most guys 5'7" and under, the 32-inch fits heights between 5'8" and 6'0", and the 34-inch suits men over 6'0".
If you're unsure, order the longer length—tailoring an inseam shorter is easy and inexpensive. You can also cuff them once for a cropped look without altering the hem.
This style is currently available in medium indigo. We also offer the same straight fit in a dark rinse wash and a light vintage wash as separate products. Check our full denim collection to see all color options across our different fits.
Each wash uses the same stretch denim fabric and construction, so the comfort and fit remain consistent regardless of color.
